Frequently Asked Questions
- ▼Are (or can) your desk tops be pre-drilled for me to attach to my frame?
- Our desk tops are supplied with no pre-drilled holes. We are unable to do this because we don't know the exact positions of your frame fixing points (unless you are attaching to a Savv-e frame - please see the next question). However, we can supply woodscrews of the correct length so that you attach your top easily yourself (ask for these in the NOTES section at time of order). We recommend that you position the desk top on top of your frame and mark the position of each of the holes whilst being careful not to move the top. Once done, remove the top and drill shallow pilot holes into each of the marked positions. Be very careful not to drill through the desk top (tip: mark the required depth with coloured tape around your drill bit so that you can tell when you are at the required depth). Replace the top and attach the top to your desk by screwing into the pilot holes.
- ◄I am buying a Savv-e standing desk frame to build my own desk. Can the fixings be pre-drilled?
- Yes, and we do better than that - we can make sure that our standard steel fixings are placed in the pre-drilled holes to give you a really solid fixing point. Please make sure that we are aware that the top is to go with the frame - either by placing a comment in the order notes on our cart page or by dropping us an email.
- ◄Can you make me a custom size?
- Absolutely, that's one of our specialties! We will need to work out the price for this. Please click on our 'custom quotation' button above and provide details on the size you require. We will provide a fast (within 1 working day) free and no obligation quotation for this. Please be aware that custom tops are made to order and typically take between 2 and 3 weeks.
- ◄Can you do other customisations - curves, barrel ends or other finishes?
- You bet - we love a challenge and to produce something that fully meets your needs. We have many more finishes that we can choose from and can provide shaped surfaces. Superb Quality, Quick Delivery ![User picture]()
I initially purchased a Devoko standing desk from Amazon to support my dual-monitor setup, which includes two 49” ultrawide screens. Unfortunately, the original desktop surface arrived in multiple pieces, and once my equipment was in place, the supplied top failed completely and snapped under the weight. It was incredibly frustrating, especially given the time spent setting everything up.
Looking for a more reliable and better-quality solution, I reached out to Savv-e, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. From the outset, their customer service was responsive and helpful. They sent out a set of sample finishes so I could properly assess what would best suit my space before placing an order. I decided to go with the 1.6m x 0.8m desktop, and it arrived exactly when promised. The packaging was excellent—secure, professional, and clearly designed to protect the surface in transit. As soon as I unboxed it, the difference in quality was immediately apparent. The desktop feels incredibly solid and well-manufactured, with a beautiful finish that looks both premium and durable.
Installation was straightforward. Although a few screws were required to mount it to the existing standing desk frame, the process was simple and everything lined up as expected. What really impressed me was the stability—there is absolutely no flex or bend in the board, even under the considerable weight of my two ultrawide monitors. It’s clear this is a surface built to perform.
Visually, the desk looks fantastic and adds a clean, modern aesthetic to my workspace. Functionally, it has completely changed the feel of my setup. I now have full confidence in the stability and quality of the surface, and I genuinely enjoy sitting—or standing—at it each day.
