Our desktops are cut to size from 2.5cm thick solid MFC (sourced from FSC-certified suppliers)and are made to withstand the rigours of daily use and are designed for commercial environments or home use.
They easily handle the weight of equipment such as computers, monitors / clamped monitor stands and are guaranteed for long-lasting performance.
Beware of low-cost mass produced alternatives. These are often either inferior thickness (18mm is common), and/or do not have a solid core. The result is less strength and lack of durability. Many of our customers look to replace flimsy desk tops received with furniture from large well known retailers. These tops are often not up to the job needed - for example taking a clamped monitor arm to hold screens.

Options to Customise Your Desk Top
Scallops
A scallop is commonly used centrally at the rear of a desk top to remove the need for cable hole cut outs.
The scallop is used for the cables to run into and provides a neat solution when the back edge of the top is up against a wall or another desk.
Radials, Barrel & D Ends
A radial desk top is a one-piece curved corner desk top. These provide a larger working space, and the curve helps make the desk ergonomically easy to use.
A barrel style desk top has 2 convex curved edges with straight ends.
A D-end is a curved end to the top - these can be used at one end or both.
Edges & Round Corners
Normally tops are edged & topped in the same material.
For a twist of style, add a different edging. "Ply edge" is a trendy option. We also offer black or white. Edges can also be chamfered instead of flat.
Rounded corners (50mm radius) can smooth the look and be added to the front corners or all 4. For other radii, send us a custom quote request.
Cable Ports / Cut Outs
We can provide circular cut outs (default 80mm) for cable ports and also slot cut outs for slotted cable management.
We can also provide simple custom cut outs on the desk edge (e.g. to fit around furniture). Please request this using a custom quote request.

Frequently Asked Questions
- ▼Are (or can) your desk tops be pre-drilled for me to attach to my frame?
- Our desk tops are supplied with no pre-drilled holes. We are unable to do this because we don't know the exact positions of your frame fixing points (unless you are attaching to a Savv-e frame - please see the next question). However, we can supply woodscrews of the correct length so that you attach your top easily yourself (ask for these in the NOTES section at time of order). We recommend that you position the desk top on top of your frame and mark the position of each of the holes whilst being careful not to move the top. Once done, remove the top and drill shallow pilot holes into each of the marked positions. Be very careful not to drill through the desk top (tip: mark the required depth with coloured tape around your drill bit so that you can tell when you are at the required depth). Replace the top and attach the top to your desk by screwing into the pilot holes.
- ◄I am buying a Savv-e standing desk frame to build my own desk. Can the fixings be pre-drilled?
- Yes, and we do better than that - we can make sure that our standard steel fixings are placed in the pre-drilled holes to give you a really solid fixing point. Please make sure that we are aware that the top is to go with the frame - either by placing a comment in the order notes on our cart page or by dropping us an email.

Amazing Quality Desk and Legs
I was looking around constantly on Amazon and other known websites for a good desk. I was worried with a lot of Amazon desks as they all had very thin and poor quality materials, which in reviews didn’t last long. These desk from Savv-e are second to non. High wear resistance and amazing looks, I went for the light concrete desktop and black trapezoid desk legs in black. So happy with my purchase and Anne’s help and support was the real selling point. Despite my legs not being dispatched in time for the scheduled Friday delivery, they made a special Saturday delivery at their expense so I could get my desk. Communication was great as I changed my desk top last minute by removing the cable hole, this was no problem for them. I would always purchase items from Savv-e in future, no questions asked.
