    ▼Does the Ampera need to plug-in to a power socket?
    No - it's a giver, not a taker! The only power that the Ampera needs is that generated by you. It has an on-board battery used to store this power and to feed it out to the LED gears and the induction and USB-C charge points for your devices.
    ▼What is the difference between DT3 and SC110 hubs?
    This refers to the console that is supplied with the treadmill or desk bike. The console is used to control your device and to track the progress that you are making. DT3 consoles are retro style long units and provide all the features you need, including readouts for steps, time, distance, calories and speed. The SC110 consoles (also known as 'Omni') are a higher spec sleek desktop console. This will take less space on your desk and has a modern display and control interface. Both consoles sit on your desk top.
    ◄Can I use a treadmill with my existing standing desk?

    It is likely that you can. Things to consider before you decide:

    (i) bear in mind that when standing at your desk on the treadmill, you will be elevated by around 10cm from the floor. You will need to adjust your stand-at-the-desk position upwards by the same amount. So, if you're tall then your standing desk will need a good upper range.

    (ii) the treadmill is 72cm wide, so allow for this width fitting between the legs of your desk. If you plan to leave the treadmill in situ and sit alongside it when it is not in use, then you will need a sufficiently long desk. We recommend a straight desk of at least 1.8M length to make this practical. Corner desks are more difficult to use in this way becase you will typically have less of a straight run to accommodate the treadmill's 72cm. Of course, if you plan to move the treadmill away when not in use (it can be stored in an upright position) then this is not a problem.

    ◄Do I need a standing desk to use with a desk bike?
    Our C3 desk bike can be used with a height adjustable desk and this combination is great for working whilst you cycle. It can also be used at a high fixed height desk - such as a "poseur table", breakfast bar or standing bench. The main criteria is that the desk is high enough to offer enough clearance for your legs to operate the bike. Having your legs under the desk will help you to adopt a good ergonomic posture.
    ◄What is the difference between your treadmill models?

    We sell 2 models of Lifespan fitness workplace walking treadmills - the TR1200 and the TR5000. The TR1200 is our all round model, whilst the TR5000 is more heavy duty. In general terms, the TR1200 will better suit a single user (for example a home office or dedicated desk), whilst the TR5000 is engineered for a workstation that may be used by several different people throughout an extended day. To support these different usage scenarios, the TR5000 is engineered for a longer period of daily use, to support a higher user weight, has a heavier duty motor, a heavier duty belt and a thicker deck. Please see the product specifications on each product listing for more details.

    After burning through 2 treadmills (ordered through Amazon), I knew I needed to find a more robust machine as I was using it for 3-4 hours per day. I found the Lifespan recommended online via a number of blogs, and I am not disappointed! It's true that you get what you pay for! The Lifespan is very quiet and robust, and the display monitor is great to keep track of the statistics throughout the day. Only tiny downside is that it's v heavy.
